We cover medical and hospital expenses as a result of you becoming ill or having an accident during your trip.

We cover the costs of emergency treatment as a result of acute dental problems such as infections, pain, trauma or following an accident.

We cover hospital and medical expenses if you have an accident in a motor vehicle.

If you have to stay in hospital for more than 5 days, we will cover the travel costs and pay up to €60/day for 10 days for a relative to stay with you.

If doctors say you are unable to return home immediately, will we cover the costs of convalescing at a hotel with up to €60/day for 10 days.

If you need specific medication and you cannot find it abroad, we will send it to you as soon as possible and you can repay us when you get back.

If you have a serious illness or accident, we will cover the cost of emergency transport to the nearest medical centre or the place that provides the most appropriate treatment, and even your transport home if deemed necessary or in the event of your death.

If you need to be repatriated as a result of illness or death, we will also repatriate your travel companion.

If your spouse or a first- or second-degree relative dies or is admitted to hospital, we will repatriate you and your travel companion.

If a serious incident occurs at your home or business premises that requires your presence, we will repatriate you and your travel companion.

If you have to cut short your trip because of a natural disaster or an unusual natural phenomenon which means you are unable to complete the trip you originally scheduled, we will cover return travel to your usual place of residence in Spain. We also will cover a second travel ticket for your travel companion, providing s/he is also insured under this policy.

The adventure sports that this policy covers are split into the following three groups:

GROUP A: Athletics, gymnasium activities, cycling tours, curling, hiking, running, ball games, beach games and camping activities, kayaking, swimming, orienteering, paddle surfing, fishing, snowshoeing, segway, rambling, snorkelling, trekking below 2,000 metres altitude, and any other of a similar nature.

GROUP B: Mountain biking, shooting sports / small game hunting, cross country skiing, jet skiing, snowmobiling, sailing, paintball, ice skating, canoeing, monkey bridge, climbing wall, 4×4 jeeps, survival, surfing and windsurfing, ziplines, trekking between 2,000 and 3,000 metres altitude, sledging at ski resorts, mushing, horse ride tours, and any other of a similar nature.

Whitewater, airsolf, canyoning, diving and underwater activities at a maximum depth of 20 metres, bouldering at a maximum height of 8 metres, horse riding, sports climbing, fencing, caving at a maximum depth of 150 metres, water skiing, fly surfing, hydroBOB, hydrospeeding, kite surfing, canoeing, deep-water soloing at a maximum height of 8 metres, quad biking, rafting, abseiling, bungee jumping and other of a similar nature.

If you are exposed to a risk, aggravated by a difficulty, that results in search, rescue, transportation or repatriation expenses by civil or military means or by rescue services, we will reimburse the costs.

We will send any essential basic items or medication that you forget to take with you when you set off on your trip.

We will cover the cost of baggage stolen using violent or intimidating means, on presentation of the written police report, as well as baggage lost or damaged on public transport, on presentation of the claim made to the carrier. Valuables (jewellery, watches, computer or photographic equipment, etc.) are covered at up to 50% of the policy limit.

If the carrier of a scheduled flight loses your luggage, we will help you find it and get it to you.

If your departure is delayed for more than 6 hours, we will pay you €90 for every full 6 hour period to cover part of your expenses, on presentation of receipts.

If the carrier takes over 24 hours to deliver your luggage, we will reimburse the costs of any basic items you have to buy, on presentation of the receipts.

If the departure of your chosen public transport means is cancelled due to a strike or civil unrest, we will reimburse any extra costs incurred to return home.

If the public transport you are using is delayed due to a technical failure, strike, bad weather or natural disaster, or intervention by the authorities or others by force, which means you are unable to catch the next public transport for which you already have a ticket, we will reimburse the expenses you incur while waiting.

If you are stuck somewhere during your trip due to bad weather, natural disaster, unusual natural phenomenon, intervention by the authorities, war, terrorism, popular movements, strikes or social unrest, we will cover the expenses incurred as a result. If you are still unable to continue travelling at the policy end date, all of your coverage will be extended for a further five days.

If you need to send a message to your family as a result of a claim that we are covering you for but you are unable to, we will send it for you.

We will pay any claims brought against you if you are liable for any injuries or damage involuntarily caused to third parties.

We will indemnify you in the event of permanent, total or partial disability as a result of an accident during your trip.

We will also pay indemnification in the event of death as a result of an accident during your trip.

We will reimburse any expenses that you can not recover directly from the travel supplier (e.g. flights, hotels) as a result of cancelling your trip, provided that you cancel before the trip starts and for one of the reasons set out in the policy. Read the cancellation reasons in the pdf.
